Annual College Fair Guides Students Toward Higher Education Opportunities
EMS ISD's annual College Fair brought students from across the district together to explore options for higher education and military service.
Representatives from more than 80 colleges, universities and military branches were on hand to provide information about degree programs, financial aid, and the application process to more than 400 students in attendance at Chisholm Trail high School.
Held in partnership with the Texas Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (TACRAO), the event allowed students to learn about a wide variety of post-secondary opportunities, many that they may not have been familiar with previously.
"The EMS ISD College Fair is a critical event for helping our students see the many paths available to them after high school," said Tiffany Turner, EMS ISD Coordinator of Crisis Intervention and Support. "We want our families to leave feeling informed, empowered and excited about the possibilities."
The fair encouraged students and families to ask questions and connect directly with school representatives, allowing them to make more informed decisions about future educational goals.
For those who missed this year’s event, students can still explore college and career options through the district’s SchoolLinks platform. SchoolLinks offers a comprehensive suite of tools for students and parents, including goal-setting, test score tracking, college application management, and scholarship searches. With SchoolLinks, students can track college applications, compare admissions statistics, research careers, and even create a resume with ease. Students and parents can sign up for SchoolLinks at .
